The Bead Society of Central Florida has been a part of the Central Florida Arts and Crafts Community since 1988.  We meet once a month to learn from each other, and from invited guest presenters, and to share our enthusiasm for the wonderful world of beads.

Our meetings include presentations on the history of beads and bead art, information about materials from which common and exotic beads are manufactured, and instructions on crafting.  Several times each year we sponsor workshops lead by our own members, as well as, locally and nationally recognized bead artists, as well as, special events such as beading challenges.

The Bead Society participates in a variety of special events each year.  In the past, we have created beaded ornaments to decorate trees for the Orlando Festival of Trees; have donated time and materials to shelters; we have set up weekend workshops and bead retreats; and we have participated in local bead shows and the Central Florida Fair.

In 2007, we began holding annual Bead Challenges for our members.

We welcome all bead enthusiasts!  Everyone is welcome and we look forward to meeting you!
